Cultivar en terrenos imposibles

This article highlights the potential of the SaltyBEATS project to transform saline and marginal lands into productive and sustainable agricultural systems. It focuses on the use of halophytes, plants naturally adapted to salty environments, as a promising solution for restoring degraded landscapes, conserving biodiversity, and creating new opportunities for agriculture under climate change and soil salinisation pressures.

Campo y Vida

The radio interview, broadcast on Campo y Vida by Onda Regional de Murcia on 25 May 2025, discusses a research project on plants able to grow in highly saline soils. José Antonio Hernández explains the potential of halophytes for using very salty and marginal lands, in the context of developing sustainable agricultural solutions.
