SaltyBEATS is a €1.2 million, 3-year Biodiversa+-funded project that will explore the role of saline NbS across Europe and Nord Africa and lay the foundations for the upscaling of sustainable saline farming and the restoration of salt-affected agricultural lands across a much wider area

Through a multi-disciplinary and multi-actor approach  SaltyBEATS explores the underlying biological mechanisms that mediate the effects of functional biodiversity in naturally saline landscapes and how to transfer them in marginal lands affected by secondary salinisation.
